The instrument of ratification signed by the Federal President and countersigned by the Federal Chancellor was deposited on 14 September 2006 with the Secretary-General of the United Nations; the amendment to the Convention in accordance with decision II/14 of 27 February 2001 is according to article 14 paragraph 4 of the Convention on environmental impact assessment in a transboundary context (BGBl. III No. 201/1997) with 26 August 2014 entered into force.

After notification of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the following additional States and following supranational organization which ratified amendments to the Convention in accordance with decision II/14, have accepted or approved:

Albania, Belarus, Bulgaria, Germany, Estonia, European Union, Finland, Croatia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Montenegro, Netherlands (for the Kingdom in Europe), Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Hungary.

 

The date of entry into force of the amendment of the Convention in accordance with decision III/7 by 4 June 2004 will be announced at a later date.
