The instrument of ratification, signed by the Federal President and countersigned by the Federal Chancellor, was deposited with the Secretary-General of the United Nations on 14 September 2006; the amendment to the Convention pursuant to Decision II/14 of 27 February 2006 2001 is under Article 14 (4) of the Convention on Environmental Impact Assessment in a Transboundary Context (BGBl. III n ° 201/1997), which entered into force on 26 August 2014.

According to the note by the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the following other States and the following superstate organization have ratified, adopted or approved the amendment to the Convention pursuant to Decision II/14:

Albania, Belarus, Bulgaria, Germany, Estonia, the European Union, Finland, Croatia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Montenegro, the Netherlands (for the Kingdom of Europe), Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Hungary.

The date of entry into force of the amendment to the Convention pursuant to Decision III/7 of 4 June 2004 shall be made known at a later date.
