(2) The practical examination comprises in Part A the items of examination work and expert discussion, and in part B (voluntary part) a technically written examination at a higher level.

(3) Part B of the final examination may be completed voluntarily if a recognition of the practical examination within the framework of the examination of the profession is sought as a part-examination subject to the examination of the subject.

(4) Part B (voluntary part) is not to be taken into account for the overall result according to § 25 (5) of the Vocational Training Act. Part B must be benoted separately. The certificate of Part B can only be carried out in connection with a positive certificate of Part A.

(5) The theoretical examination comprises applied mathematics, specialist knowledge and material science.
