Law 27276

Exemption.

The Senate and Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Nation, meeting in Congress, etc., are sanctioned by law:

Article 1 °-Exxime for the only time of the sanction provided for in Article 125 of Law 19,945 and its amending, regulatory and complementary rules, to all citizens of the municipalities of the province of Buenos Aires and of the Santa Fe province affected by the floods, which prevented them from fulfilling the duty of voting in the national elections on August 9, 2015.

ARTICLE 2 °-The municipalities reached by the provisions of Article 1 ° are the parties of 25 May, Reefs, Ayacucho, Berisso, Cañuelas, Carmen de Areco, Chacabuco, Escobar, Exaltation de la Cruz, General Pueyrredon, Las Flores, Lobos, Lomas de Zamora, Luján, Moreno, Mercedes, Pilar, Quilmes, Roque Pérez, Saladillo, San Antonio de Areco, San Vicente, Sarmiento and Zarate of the Province of Buenos Aires and the Departments of Constitution and General López of the province of Santa Fe.

ARTICLE 3 °-The federal court with electoral jurisdiction will apply this rule of office, excluding the voters of the affected areas from the Register of Violators to the duty of voting, without requiring any processing or request.

ARTICLE 4 °-The Federal Courts with electoral competence in the electoral districts mentioned, may extend the cases of exemption from the sanction or justification in reason of force majeure to affected geographic areas directly or indirectly by this natural phenomenon, by means of a founded resolution.

ARTICLE 5 °-Commune to the national executive branch.
