Approve the Convention and the Convention of Administration of the Multilateral Investment Fund II, signed in the City of Okinawa, Japan. Sanctioned: November 30, 2011 Enacted in Fact: December 27, 2011
The Senate and Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Nation, meeting in Congress, etc., are sanctioned by law:
Article 1-Approve the accession of the Argentine Republic to the MULTILATERAL INVESTMENT FUND II (fomin II) of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
ARTICLE 2-Approve the Constitutive Convention and the Convention of Management of the MULTILATERAL INVESTMENT FUND II (Fomin II) given in the City of Okinawa -JAPONA-ON 9 April 2005, as well as its accompanying documentation, the texts of which form an integral part of this measure as Annex I.
ARTICLE 3-The MINISTRY OF ECONOMY AND PUBLIC FINANCES through the Secretary of Economic Policy will subscribe in the name and on behalf of the national government the Unconditional Contribution to the MULTILATERAL FUND OF INVESTMENTS II (FIN II) ARGENTINA REPUBLIC for an amount equivalent to US DOLLARS EIGHT MILLION THREE HUNDRED THIRTY-ONE THOUSAND (U 8,331,000).
ARTICLE 4-The cash payment equivalent to US DOLLARS EIGHT MILLION THREE HUNDRED AND THIRTY ONE THOUSAND (U 8,331,000) shall be made in accordance with Article II, Section 1 (b) of the MULTILATERAL FUND INVESTMENT II (FIN II).
ARTICLE 5-For the cash contribution, the CENTRAL BANK OF THE ARGENTINE REPUBLIC shall issue to the order of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) non-interest-free securities, payable in sight, to be delivered to that Agency in replacement of the cash contribution, in accordance with the terms of Article II, Section 2, of the MULTILATERAL INVESTMENT FUND II (Fomin II).
ARTICLE 6-Faculty of the MINISTRY OF ECONOMY AND PUBLIC FINANCES, through the SECRETARIAT OF ECONOMIC POLICY, to execute the operations provided for in Article III, Section 2 of the Convention of the MULTILATERAL FUND OF INVESTMENTS II (MIF II) for the purpose of ensuring compliance with the objectives referred to in Article I of the said Convention.
ARTICLE 7-Authorize the Governor and the Alternate Governor of the Republic of Argentina to the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or to the person who will appoint them to carry out all necessary actions for the acceptance by Part of the ARGENTINE REPUBLIC of the MULTILATERAL INVESTMENT FUND II (FIN II), in accordance with the terms of Article II, Section 1 (a) and Article VI, Section 1.
ARTICLE 8-In order to meet the emerging commitments of this measure, the FINANCE SECRETARY OF THE MINISTRY OF ECONOMY AND PUBLIC FINANCES will include this administration in the Projects of the General Budget of Expenditure and Resources of the National Administration in the relevant exercises.
