For the only time, the national holiday was established on 31 January 2013 in commemoration of the bicentennial of the General Assembly of 1813. Sanctioned: December 19, 2012 Enacted in Fact: January 10, 2013

The Senate and Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Nation, meeting in Congress, etc., are sanctioned by law:

Article 1-Set for the only time national holiday on January 31, 2013 in the entire territory of the Nation, in commemoration of the bicentennial of the Constituent General Assembly of 1813.

ARTICLE 2-Contact the national executive branch.

GIVEN IN THE SESSION HALL OF THE ARGENTINE CONGRESS, IN BUENOS AIRES,

NINETEEN DAYS OF THE MONTH OF DECEMBER OF THE YEAR TWO THOUSAND TWELVE.
