Amendment. Sanctioned: June 10, 2015 Enacted: June 17, 2015

The Senate and Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Nation, meeting in Congress, etc., are sanctioned by law:

ARTICLE 1-Substitute Article 59 of the Criminal Code by the following text:

Article 59: The criminal action shall be extinguished: (1) By the death of the accused; (2) by amnesty; (3) By the prescription; (4) By the renunciation of the wrongdoings, in respect of the offences of private action; (5) By application of an opportunity criterion, in accordance with the provisions of the laws (6) By conciliation or comprehensive redress of the damage, in accordance with the provisions of the relevant procedural laws; 7) For the fulfilment of the conditions laid down for the suspension of the trial, in accordance with the provisions of this Code and the relevant procedural laws.

ARTICLE 2-Substitute Article 71 of the Criminal Code by the following text:

Article 71: Without prejudice to the rules on the availability of criminal proceedings provided for in procedural law, all criminal proceedings must be initiated, with the exception of the following: (1) Those which depend on private instance; Private shares.

ARTICLE 3-Substitute Article 73 of the Criminal Code by the following text:

Article 73: Private actions arising from the following offences: (1) Calumnias and injuries; (2) Violation of secrets, except in the cases of Articles 154 and 157; (3) Unfair competition, as provided for in Article 159; duties of family assistance, where the victim is the spouse. They are also private actions which are in accordance with the provisions of the procedural laws

ARTICLE 4 °-Substitute Article 76 of the Criminal Code, by the following text, which shall be inserted in that Code by integrating Title XII of its First Book, 'From the Suspension of Trial to Test':

Article 76: The suspension of the trial shall be governed in accordance with the provisions of the relevant procedural laws. In the absence of full or partial regulation, the provisions of this Title shall apply.

ARTICLE 5-Repeal Article 75 of the Criminal Code.

ARTICLE 6-Commune to the national executive branch.
