INTERNATIONAL PEACE DIA Law 26.819 Decline 21 September each year as “International Day of Peace”. Sanctioned: November 28, 2012 Cast: December 26, 2012 The Senate and Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Nation assembled in Congress, etc. sanction with force of Law:
ARTICLE 1 — Decline 21 September each year as “International Day of Peace” in adherence to United Nations General Assembly resolutions 36/67 and 55/282.
ARTICLE 2° — Authorize the Flag of Peace, which as an annex is attached to this law, in public buildings belonging to the three (3) branches of the national State, the provinces and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, and in public and private school establishments throughout the national territory.
ARTICLE 3° — National universities and schools, whether public or private, at any level of education, will seek to incorporate the theme of promoting peace into their teaching, as well as to undertake activities to commemorate the “International Day of Peace” every 21 September.
ARTICLE 4° — Invite the provinces and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires to accede to this law.
ARTICLE 5° — Contact the national executive branch.
