IMPORTATIONS Law 26.473 Prohibits from 31 December 2010, the import and commercialization of incandescent lamps for general residential use throughout the territory of the Argentine Republic. Sanctioned: December 17 of 2008 Cast: January 12, 2009

The Senate and Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Nation assembled in Congress, etc. sanction with force of Law:

ARTICLE 1 As of 31 December 2010, the import and commercialization of incandescent lamps for general residential use throughout the territory of the Argentine Republic is prohibited. ARTICLE 2 Please refer to the national executive branch, to the establishment of exceptions for technical, functional and operational reasons, on the products subject to the measure, through the mechanisms and methodology established for this purpose. Article 3 The national executive branch may dictate the necessary measures to facilitate the importation of low-consumption lamps, their parts, inputs, components and/or equipment necessary for their production, reducing or releasing of taxes and import taxes through the powers conferred upon it in the Customs Code of the Argentine Republic. ARTICLE 4 This law shall enter into force on the day of its publication in the Official Gazette. ARTICLE 5o Contact the Executive.

IN THE SESSION OF THE ARGENTINE CONGRESS, IN GOOD AIRES, TO THE DAYS OF THE TWENTY DAY FOR THE YEAR TWO MIL OCHO.
