The Senate and Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Nation assembled in Congress, etc. sanction with force of Law:

ARTICLE 1 Declárase national historical place and tomb of war to the area where are the remains of the ship Cruise A.R.A. General Belgrano and of the three hundred and twenty-three (323) crew members who rest there, sunk on May 2, 1982 in the exclusive Argentine economic zone. ARTICLE 2 The Executive Power will have the measures to ensure that the remains of the crew members lying there are not disturbed, while most of their families do not claim their recovery.

Identical measures will be applied with respect to the material remains in relation to their possible removal or alteration by future actions.

Relevant enforcement and control agencies shall, if appropriate, permit actions within the framework of the regulations that expressly authorize it.

Article 3 The Executive Power will instruct the Ministry of Defence to incorporate into the nautical charts the mention of this national historical site, indicating the geographical coordinates that allow its location. It will also be available in geographical letters, maps and different cartography, and may request the collaboration of the National Geography Academy and the Military Geographic Institute or other relevant agency. ARTICLE 4 The Executive Power, through the relevant agencies, shall notify this law at the international level.
