Persons with Disabilities Act No. 25,346.

Enacted: November 20, 2000.

The Senate and Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Nation assembled in Congress, etc. sanction with force of Law:

ARTICLE 1 Decline 3 December National Day of Persons with Disabilities for the purpose of:

(a) Disclosure the norms that protect persons with disabilities, specifying rights and upholding the responsibility for their compliance by those directly involved in providing them and the whole society to demand them;

(b) Strengthening actions to establish principles of equal opportunities by overcoming inequalities that in any order and scope constitute difficulties for persons with disabilities;

(c) Promote responsible and supportive behaviour to recreate a society that includes and facilitates the achievement of universal rights for all persons with disabilities.

ARTICLE 2 The state agencies responsible for the care of persons with disabilities will develop together with those in the area of Education, Culture and Sport, the programmes to be implemented in relation to Article 1 and in order to promote solidarity behaviour.

ARTICLE 3 The Executive Power shall regulate this law within 60 days of its sanction.
