CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION OF THE LATINIAN UNION Law 25.354 Approve the Amendment to Article XIII, adopted by the XIV Congress of the Latin Union in Paris.

Sanctioned: November 1, 2000.

Cast: November 29, 2000.

The Senate and Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Nation assembled in Congress, etc., sanction with force of Law:

ARTICLE 1 Approve the amendment to Article XIII of the CONSTITUTIVE CONVENTION OF THE LATINIAN UNION, adopted by the XIV UNION LATINA Congress, in Paris .REPUBLICA FRANCESA cuya on 7 December 1994, whose authenticated photocopy is part of this law.

ARTICLE 2 Contact the national executive branch.

IN THE SESSION OF THE ARGENTINE CONGRESS, IN GOOD AIRES, THE FIRST DAY OF THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER OF THE YEAR DOS MIL.

CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION OF THE LATINIAN UNION

UNION LATIN

Voted by the XIV Congress 6 and 7 December 1994

THE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL

Article XIII

(1) The Executive Council shall consist of twelve Member States of the Latin Union elected for a period of four years.

(2) The Executive Council will renew half of its members every two years.

(3) On the proposal of the Council, the Congress may modify the membership of the Council provided for in paragraph 1, if a substantial change in the membership of the Latin Union is verified.

(4) The Congress will elect countries that will be part of the Executive Council, respecting, to the extent possible, equitable geographical and linguistic distribution.

(5) The member States of the Executive Council shall be re-elected.

6) It will be within the competence of the elected countries to appoint their representatives to the Council.

7) Each two years the Council shall, by rotation among its members, proceed to the election of a President, who shall have the decisive vote in the event of equality in the number of votes.

8) The Secretary-General of the Latin Union shall assume the functions of Secretary-General of the Council.
