Law 27.046

“The sexual exploitation of children and adolescents and trafficking in persons in Argentina is a serious crime. Denume it.” Mandatory law.

The Senate and Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Nation assembled in Congress, etc. sanction with force

Law:

ARTICLE 1 — Legend. The obligation to display in a visible place a legend that says in a clear and legible letter: “The sexual exploitation of children and adolescents and trafficking in persons in Argentina is a severely punishable offence. Denume it.” The application authority shall establish the format, the languages in which the legend will appear and the number of the free hotline receiving complaints about sexual exploitation of children and adolescents and trafficking in persons in force.

ARTICLE 2 - Scope of application. The provisions of Article 1 shall be implemented at national and international airports, port terminals, land transport terminals, public transport media, border crossings, public tourist offices and official promotion sites of the country, and the application authority may extend the spaces listed according to the needs, strategic of the corresponding area.

ARTICLE 3 — Sanctions. In view of the failure to comply with this law by concessional companies under concessional contracts concluded with the State, the penalties provided for therein shall apply.

ARTICLE 4 - Implementing authority. The authority for the implementation of this Act is the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights of the Nation, which shall sign agreements with the Ministry of Security of the Nation, the Ministry of Tourism of the Nation, the Ministry of the Interior and Transport of the Nation, with provincial governments, municipal governments and any public or private bodies that are relevant to the implementation of the objectives of this Act.

ARTICLE 5 — Regulation. This law must be regulated within a maximum period of sixty (60) days from the date of its sanction.

ARTICLE 6 Contact the national executive branch.
