Law:
ARTICLE 1 — The National University Institute of Art (IUNA), created by Decree 1.404/96 at the National University of the Arts (UNA), as a legal person of public law in the character provided for in article 48 of Law 24.521 of Higher Education.
ARTICLE 2° — The National University of the Arts (UNA), from the sanction of this law, will be the continuation of the National University Institute of Art (IUNA), and will maintain the formation, teaching and non-teaching staff and authorities.
ARTICLE 3° — The National University of Arts (UNA) will continue to be governed by the current internal regulations of the former National University Institute of Art (IUNA), which can adapt its structure and status to the new University status as determined by the University Assembly.
ARTICLE 4° — The movable and immovable property transferred to the former National University Institute of Art (IUNA), as well as the rights and obligations of any kind that correspond to it, go to integrate the heritage of the National University of the Arts (UNA). Records in which such property, rights and obligations may be found inscribed shall, by appropriate means, record ownership change resulting from the transformation approved by this Act.
ARTICLE 5° - The budget allocated in the General Budget Law of the National Civil Service in force to the former National University Institute of Art (IUNA), passes automatically and under identical conditions to the National University of Arts (UNA).
