HOMENAJES Law 26.756 Design a monument in tribute to General Don José Francisco de San Martín to be located in the town of Yapeyú, Province of Corrientes. Sanctioned: June 27, 2012 Promulgated: July 25, 2012 The Senate and Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Nation assembled in Congress, etc. sanction with force of Law:
ARTICLE 1 — Disposed the construction of a monument in tribute to General Don José Francisco de San Martín who must show it dressed as a military rider on his horse, to be located in the town of Yapeyú, province of Corrientes.
ARTICLE 2° — The national executive branch shall agree with the Government of the province of Corrientes the assignment of a land where the monument mentioned in the preceding article will be placed.
ARTICLE 3° — The Ministry of Culture of the Nation shall be the authority to implement this law.
ARTICLE 4° — The Ministry of Culture of the Nation, within the SESENTA (60) days of promulgation of this law:
(a) Call for a public examination of Argentine sculptors for proposals for the design and construction of the monument;
(b) To convene, on an ad honorem basis, a jury composed of TRES (3) Argentine sculptors of relevant performance and background in order to select the proposal that best reflects the spirit of this initiative.
ARTICLE 5° — Expenditures for compliance with this Act shall be charged to the budget of the national administration, in the year following the year of entry into force of this Act and in the future, in accordance with the physical progress of the relevant works and until its conclusion.
