Since over the years in which the Andorran Red Cross has assumed the medical transport the growth of the cost of this service has been located above the resources obtained by their funding.

Since, on the one hand, with regard to income, the rates of duty applied have been insufficient to cover the costs inherent to the service; and on the other hand, in terms of costs, the growth is concentrated in the number of users of the services and the costs of structure associated with these services, as well as in the staff costs associated with the medical transport.

Seen that the differences in growth between the expenses and income of the medical transport service require use of urgency of additional resources for the Andorran Red Cross that are encrypted at 977,960.12 euros, in order to ensure the proper functioning of the institution.
