10A NCAC 25S .0201        OUT‑OF‑STATE SERVICES

(a)  Reimbursement shall be made to providers outside of

North Carolina in the case of an emergency, or if travel back to the state

would endanger the health of the eligible recipient.

(b)  Prior approval is required for non‑emergency out‑of‑state

services more than 40 miles outside North Carolina's border.
