SECTION .0900 ‑ POLICIES ON USE OF COASTAL AIRSPACE

 

15A NCAC 07M .0901      DECLARATION OF GENERAL POLICY

It is hereby declared that the use of aircraft by state,

federal and local government agencies for purposes of managing and protecting

coastal resources, detecting violations of environmental laws and rules and

performing other functions related to the public health, safety and welfare

serves a vital public interest.  The Commission further finds that future

economic development in the coastal area and orderly management of such

development requires air access to and among coastal communities.
