   § 11-18-2  False information to registrar

of vital statistics. –

Every person who shall knowingly furnish or cause to be furnished to the

registrar of vital statistics of any city or town false information concerning

any birth, marriage, death and/or divorce shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and,

upon conviction, shall be fined not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500), or

imprisoned not exceeding one year, or both.
