Rodent Control and Eradication

SECTION 23-7.1-3



   § 23-7.1-3  Definitions. –

As used in this chapter, the following terms shall, unless the context

otherwise requires, be construed as follows:



   (1) "Director" means the director of the department of

health, or any subordinate or subordinates to whom he or she has delegated the

powers and duties vested in him or her by this chapter.



   (2) "Federal government" means the government of the United

States of America.



   (3) "Local communities" means any cities and towns of Rhode

Island.



   (4) "Person" means any individual, firm, private corporation,

association, partnership, municipal corporation, or any other entity recognized

by the law as a subject of rights and duties.



   (5) "Rodent" means rats, mice, and/or bats.



   (6) "State" means the government of the state of Rhode Island.
