Eligibility for DSH programs—New hospital providers.









To be eligible for disproportionate share hospital (DSH) payments, a new hospital provider must have claims data, audited financial statements, and an "as filed" or finalized medicare cost report for the hospital base year used by the medicaid agency in calculating DSH payments for the state fiscal year (SFY) for which the hospital provider is applying.
