SECTION 23-9-23



   § 23-9-23  Action for recovery of expenses.

–

If any owner, freighter, mariner, or passenger shall refuse to pay those wages

and charges settled, adjusted, and fixed pursuant to § 23-9-22, then the

city or town shall sue for and recover those wages and charges, and the court

where the action is brought and maintained shall tax double costs for the

plaintiff.
