   § 35-6-36  Access of controller to records

of state departments. –

The department of administration shall supervise the accounts of all state

departments and agencies, and the department shall at all times and without

notice, for the purpose of examination, have access to the books of accounts

and all records relating to the receipts, disbursements, and financial

management of all state departments and agencies.
