Dear Mr. Long:

 

This letter contains an opinion of this office being

reported as per GS 163-278.23.

 

There is no legal requirement under GS  163-278.7A or any

other North Carolina election law or regulation that requires a separate bank

account to support only the North Carolina activities of an FEC-registered PAC.

The conclusion in your July 16, 2001 letter is correct under the current law.

 

If any of the circumstances set out in your recent letter
