ROAD TRAFFIC
The London South Circular Trunk Road (A205) (Catford Hill, Lewisham) (Prescribed Routes) Order 1995

The Secretary of State for Transport in exercise of the powers conferred by section 6(1) and (3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984(1), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and after consultation with the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis pursuant to section 7(6) of that Act(2), hereby makes the following Order:—
1. This Order may be cited as the London South Circular Trunk Road (A205) (Catford Hill, Lewisham) (Prescribed Routes) Order 1995 and shall come into force on 25th September 1995.
2. In this Order
“Catford Hill” means that length on the London South Circular Trunk Road (A205) in the London Borough of Lewisham known as Catford Hill;
“the Wickes site access road” means the road leading to a development site from Catford Hill at a point 45 metres south-west of the junction of Ravensbourne Park with Catford Hill; and
“refuge island” means the triangular island in the Wickes site access road at its junction with Catford Hill.
3. Every person causing any vehicle to proceed north-westwards in the Wickes site access road shall cause that vehicle on reaching its junction with Catford Hill to turn left.
4. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle proceeding north-westwards in the Wickes site access road to enter Catford Hill otherwise than by keeping the refuge island on the right or offside of the vehicle.
5. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle proceeding south-westbound in Catford Hill to enter the Wickes site access road otherwise than by keeping the refuge island on the right or off side of the vehicle.
6. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle proceeding north-eastbound in Catford Hill to make a right turn so as to enter the Wickes site access road.
7. Nothing in this Order shall apply to—
(a)anything done with the permission or at the direction of a constable in uniform or of a traffic warden; or
(b)any person who causes any vehicle to proceed in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed pursuant to section 66 or 67 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
