The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of power conferred by sections 16 and 20(4) of the Road Traffic (NHS Charges) Act 1999(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order—

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (NHS Charges) (Appeals: Ending of Transitional Period) Order 1999 and shall come into force on 28th November 1999.

End of transitional period, England and Wales

2.  For the purposes of section 20(1) to (4) of the Road Traffic (NHS Charges) Act 1999, the day appointed for the end of the transitional period for England and Wales is 28th November 1999.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order appoints 28th November 1999 as the day on which the transitional period for England and Wales ends for the purposes of the appeals provisions of the Road Traffic (NHS Charges) Act 1999.
