The Department of Health and Social Services, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 10(1) of the Health and Personal Social Services(Northern Ireland) Order 1991(1) and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, having consulted the persons or bodies referred to in Article 10(2) of that Order, hereby makes the following order:

Citation and commencement

1.  This order may be cited as the Royal Group of Hospitals and Dental Hospital Health and Social Services Trust (Establishment) (Amendment)Order (Northern Ireland) 1998 and shall come into operation on 29th June 1998.

Amendment to the Royal Group of Hospitals and Dental Hospital Health and Social Services Trust (Establishment) Order (Northern Ireland) 1992

2.  For paragraph (1) of regulation 3 of the Royal Group of Hospitals and Dental Hospital Health and Social Services Trust (Establishment) Order(Northern Ireland) 1992(2) there shall be substituted—

“(1) The trust is established for the purposes specified in Article 10(1) of the Order.”

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order amends the Royal Group of Hospitals and Dental Hospital Health and Social Services Trust (Establishment) Order (Northern Ireland)1992 with effect from 29th June 1998. It extends the purposes for which the Trust is established to enable it to provide and manage hospitals or other establishments or facilities and to exercise on behalf of Health and Social Services Boards certain functions of Boards.
