Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order.)
This Order amends the National Board for Nursing, Midwifery and Health Visiting for Northern Ireland (Constitution and Administration) Order (Northern Ireland) 1993, which makes provision concerning the constitutuion and administration of the National Board for Nursing, Midwifery and Health Visiting for Northern Ireland (“the Board”).
The Order removes the Board’s duty to introduce persons wishing to qualify for registration in the register of nurses, midwives and health visitors to approved institutions with vacancies on their training courses. It revokes the legislation under which that duty was introduced.
