TRAFFIC (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2011

TRAFFIC ACT (CAP 156)

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 40 of the Traffic Act (Cap.
156), the Principal Licensing Authority, with the consent of Cabinet, makes

the following Regulations -

1 Short Title

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Traffic (Amendment) Regulations
2011.

(2) The Traffic Regulations, as amended, are in these Regulations referred to as
the Principal Regulations.

2 Fourth Schedule – Amended

(1) The Fourth Schedule of the Principal Regulations is amended:

(a) by repealing Part B and replacing it with the following –



“B - ANNUAL EXAMINATION OF MOTOR VEHICLE

1. PRIVATE VEHICLES

(i) All motor vehicles

(a) Weighing 1000kg and less (L) $70

(b) Weighing 1001kg and less than 1500kg (L) $95

(c) Weighing 1500kg and less than 3000kg (J) $120

(d) Weighing 3000kg and less than 5000kg (H) $160

(e) Weighing 5000kg and over (H) $185

(ii) CLASS A – Motor Cycle $20

(iii) CLASS B – Motor Tricycle $20

(iv) Class 1 – Invalid Carriage Free

2. PUBLIC/COMPANY/TAXI & RENTAL

CLASS A – Motor Cycle $35

CLASS B – Motor Tricycle $25

(i) All Motor Vehicles

(a) Weighing 1000kg and less (T&R&C)) $95

(b) Weighing 1001kg and less than 1500kg

(L&T&R&B)

(c) Weighing 1500kg and less than 3000kg

(R&T&B))

(d) Weighing 3000kg and less than 5000kg

(G&R&H&T&B)

Examination of any vehicle involved in an accident $100

Penalty Fee (Late Examination) $60”



(b) by repealing “$1,000” in Part C, paragraph (i)(e) under Private Motor
Vehicles and replacing it with “$350”.
