CHAPTER 203

SPORTS TRANSFER AND VESTING An Act to transfer and vest property in the Minister

responsible for Housing and the Treasurer of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas.

[Assent 13th March, 2000] [Commencement 1st January, 1997]

1. This Act may be cited as the Sports Transfer and Vesting Act, 2000.

2. All property referred to in the First Schedule vested in the Minister responsible for Sports under the Sports Act is transferred to and vested in the Minister responsible for Housing in fee simple.

3. All property referred to in the Second Schedule vested in the Minister responsible for Sports under the Sports Act is transferred to and vested in the Treasurer of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas in fee simple.

FIRST SCHEDULE (Section 2) ALL THAT certain lot, piece or parcel of land containing

by admeasurement one hundred and fourteen and nine hundred and eighty-seven thousandths acres (114.987 acres) or thereabouts situate in Oakes Field east of Bethel Avenue south of the City of Nassau in the Island of New Providence in The Commonwealth of The Bahamas ABUTTING and BOUNDING towards the North partly on a public road known as Turnquest Avenue and partly on lands now or formerly the property of Civil Aviation and partly on lands the property of the Minister responsible for Sports and Recreation and running thereon for a combined distance of two thousand eight hundred and eighty-four and three hundredths feet (2884.03 feet) towards the East partly on lands the property of the Minister responsible for Sports and Recreation and running thereon for a distance of one thousand seven hundred and sixty-eight and fifty-five hundredths feet (1768.55 feet) towards the South on Bahamas Electricity Corporation way-leave fronting Yellow Elder Gardens Subdivision and running thereon for a distance of two thousand three hundred and fifty-three and fifty- six hundredths feet (2353.56 feet) and towards the West partly on a public road known as Bethel Avenue and partly on Lots Number

615 and 617 of Stapledon Gardens Subdivision and partly on a public road known as Turnquest Avenue and running thereon for a combined distance of one thousand six hundred and fifty-nine and forty-two hundredths feet (1659.42 feet) or however else the same may abut and bound which said lot, piece or parcel of land is more particularly delineated and shown coloured pink on a plan of the area numbered 3309 NP and recorded in the Department of Lands and Surveys.

SECOND SCHEDULE (Section 3) FIRST, ALL THAT certain lot, piece or parcel of land

containing by admeasurement nineteen and four hundred and eighty-three thousandths of an acre (19.483 acres) or thereabouts being the Royal Bahamas Police Force College complex and shown on Plan 3344 NP on record in the Department of Lands and Surveys situate in Oakes Field south of a public road known as Thompson Boulevard in the Island of New Providence in the Commonwealth of The Bahamas ABUTTING and BOUNDING towards the East on lands the property of the Minister responsible for Sports and Recreation and running thereon for a distance of seven hundred and nineteen and forty-two hundredths feet (719.42 feet) towards the South on lands the property of the Minister responsible for Sports and Recreation and running thereon for a combined distance of six hundred and twelve and fifty-one hundredths feet (612.51 feet) towards the West on lands the property of the Minister responsible for Sports and Recreation and running thereon for a combined distance of one thousand two hundred and sixty-one and ninety-three hundredths feet (1261.93 feet) and towards the North on a public road known as Thompson Boulevard and running thereon for a combined distance of one thousand two hundred and sixty-five and twenty-six hundredths feet (1265.26 feet) or however else the same may abut and bound which said lot, piece or parcel of land is more particularly delineated and shown coloured pink on the Plan 3344 NP.

SECOND, ALL THAT certain lot, piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement four and six hundred and forty- seven thousandths (4.647 acres) or thereabouts being the Royal Bahamas Police Force Compound for stolen cars and shown on Plan 3344 NP on record in the Department of Lands and Surveys situate in Oakes Field south of Thompson Boulevard in the Island of New Providence in the Commonwealth of The Bahamas ABUTTING and BOUNDING towards the North on lands the property of the Minister responsible for Sports and Recreation and running thereon for a combined distance of five hundred and twenty-seven and thirty-six hundredths feet (527.36 feet) towards the East on lands the property of the Minister responsible for Sports and Recreation being Fair Grounds and running thereon for a combined distance of four hundred and one and seventy-nine

hundredths feet (401.79 feet) towards the South on lands the property of the Minister responsible for Sports and Recreation and running thereon for a distance of five hundred and seventy- nine feet (579 feet) and towards the West on lands the property of the Royal Bahamas Police Force Compound for stolen cars and running thereon for a distance of two hundred and ninety feet (290 feet) or however else the same may abut and bound which said lot, piece or parcel of land is more particularly delineated and shown coloured orange on the Plan 3344 NP.

THIRD, ALL THAT certain lot, piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement nine and one hundred and five thousandths of an acre (9.105 acres) or thereabouts being The Bahamas Customs complex and shown on Plan 3344 NP on record in the Department of Lands and Surveys situate in Oakes Field south of Thompson Boulevard in the Island of New Providence in the Commonwealth of The Bahamas ABUTTING and BOUNDING towards the East on lands the property of the Minister responsible for Sports and Recreation and running thereon for a combined distance of seven hundred and twenty- nine and thirty-six hundredths feet (729.36 feet) towards the South on lands the property of the Minister responsible for Sports and Recreation being the Fair Grounds and running thereon for a distance of six hundred and fifty and thirty-one hundredths feet (650.31 feet) towards the West on lands the property of the Minister responsible for Sports and Recreation and running thereon for a distance of five hundred and fifty- seven and thirty-five hundredths feet (557.35 feet) and towards the North on a public road known as Thompson Boulevard and running thereon for a distance of five hundred and ninety-six and forty-two hundredths feet (596.42 feet) or however else the same may abut and bound which said lot, piece or parcel of land is more particularly delineated and shown coloured blue on the Plan 3344 NP.

FOURTH, ALL THAT certain lot, piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement fifteen and nine hundred and twenty-six thousandths of an acre (15.926 acres) or thereabouts being the Government High School complex and shown on Plan 3344 NP on record in the Department of Lands and Surveys situate in Oakes Field northwardly of Yellow Elder Gardens Subdivision in the Island of New Providence in the Commonwealth of The Bahamas ABUTTING and BOUNDING towards the North on lands the property of the Minister responsible for Sports and Recreation and running thereon for a combined distance of nine hundred and sixty-six and eighty- eight hundredths feet (966.88 feet) towards the East on lands the property of the Minister responsible for Sports and Recreation

fronting a road known as Yellow Elder Way and running thereon for a distance of five hundred and ninety-five and forty-five hundredths feet (595.45 feet) towards the South on lands the property of the Minister responsible for Sports and Recreation fronting a Bahamas Electricity Corporation way-leave and running thereon for a distance of five hundred and ninety-five and forty-five hundredths feet (595.45 feet) towards the West partly on lands the property of the Minister responsible for Sports and Recreation and running thereon for- a combined distance of three hundred and seventy-seven and thirty-one hundredths feet (377.31) and partly on lands the property of the Water and Sewerage Corporation and running thereon for a distance of four hundred and twenty-one and eighty-five hundredths (421.85 feet) or however else the same may abut and bound which said lot, piece or parcel of land is more particularly delineated and shown coloured green on the Plan 3344 NP.

FIFTH, ALL THAT certain lot, piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement seven and eight hundred and ninety- two thousandths of an acre (7.892 acres) or thereabouts being the proposed site for the Ministry of Education and Youth building and shown on Plan 3344 NP on record in the Department of Lands and Surveys situate in Oakes Field south of a public road known as Thompson Boulevard in the Island of New Providence in the Commonwealth of The Bahamas ABUTTING and BOUNDING towards the East on lands the property of the Minister responsible for Sports and Recreation being The Bahamas Customs complex and running thereon for a distance of five hundred and fifty-seven and thirty-five hundredths feet (557.35) towards the South on lands the property of the Minister responsible for Sports and Recreation being the property of the Royal Bahamas Police Compound for stolen cars and running thereon for a combined distance of seven hundred and thirty-six and ninety-six hundredths feet (736.96 feet) towards the West on lands the property of the Minister responsible for Sports and Recreation being the property of the Royal Bahamas Police Compound for stolen cars and running thereon for a distance of four hundred and twenty-nine and forty-two hundredths feet (429.42 feet) and towards the North on a public road known as Thompson Boulevard and running thereon for a distance of four hundred and twenty-two and ninety-five hundredths feet (422.95 feet) or however else the same may abut and bound which said lot, piece or parcel of land is more particularly delineated and shown coloured brown on the Plan 3344 NP.

SIXTH, ALL THAT lot, piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement sixteen and seven hundred and fifty-four thousandths of an acre (16.754 acres) or thereabouts being The Bahamas Hotel Training complex and shown on Plan 2589 NP on record in the Department of Lands and Surveys situate in Oakes Field southeast of a public road known as Thompson Boulevard and south of lands the property of the College of The Bahamas in the Island of New Providence in the Commonwealth of The Bahamas ABUTTING and BOUNDING towards the North on a public road known as Tucker Road towards the East on a subdivision

SEVENTH, ALL THAT certain lot, piece or parcel of land together containing seven and eighty-five hundredths of an acre (7.85 acres ) or thereabouts being the proposed site for The Eugene Dupuch Law School and shown on Plan 3212 NP on record in the Department of Lands Surveys situate in Oakes Field eastwardly of Thompson Boulevard and southwardly of The Bahamas Hotel Training Centre in the Island of New Providence in the Commonwealth of The Bahamas ABUTTING BOUNDING towards the North on a proposed road towards the East on land the property of the Minister responsible for Sports and Recreation towards the West on a buffer zone fronting Thompson Boulevard or however else the same may abut and bound which said lot, piece or parcel land is more particularly delineated and shown coloured pink on the Plan 3212 NP.
