(CHAPTER 244)

FISHERIES RESOURCES (JURISDICTION AND CONSERVATION) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 2012

The Minister, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 19 of the Fisheries Resources (Jurisdiction and Conservation) Act, makes the following Regulations-

1. Citation.

( 1) These Regulations may be cited as the Fisheries Resources (Jurisdiction and Conservation) (Amendment) Regulations, 2012 .

(2) These Regulations shall come into force on the 1 sr day of December, 2012, and shall expire on the 28'h day of Febru- ary, 2013.

Regulation 35 of the Fisheries Resources (Jurisdiction and Conser- vation) Regulations is amended-

(a) by the renumbering of the paragraph as paragraph (I); and

(b) by the insertion, immediately after paragraph ( 1), of the following new paragraphs (2) and (3)-

"(2) Notwithstanding paragraph (1), no person shall take, land, possess, sell or offer for sale any fish commonly known as "the Nas- sau Grouper" during the period 1 s• Decem- ber, 2012 to the 28'" February, 2013, except where such taking or landing is carried out, with the written approval of the Director of Fisheries for scientific research purposes.

(3) Subject to paragraph (2), no person shall, during the period I" December, 2012 to the 28'" February, 2013, land any fish common- ly known as "grouper" unless its head, tail and skin is intact.".
