| AN ACT TO AMEND THE MARRIAGE REGISTRATION ORDINANCE | | |

| BE it enacted by the Parliament of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka as follows :- | |

Short title.
| 1. This Act may be cited as the Marriage Registration (Amendment) Act, No. 36 of 2006. | Replacement of Second Schedule to Chapter 112.
| 2. The Marriage Registration Ordinance (Chapter 112) is hereby amended by the repeal of the Second Schedule thereto, (as repealed and replaced by Act, No. 12 of 1997) and the substitution therefor of the following Schedule : - | | SECOND SCHEDULE [Section 62] | | For what duty | Payable to Whom | Payable to Whom | Amount Rs. cts. | | 1. | 3. In the event of any inconsistency between the Sinhala and Tamil texts of this Act, the Sinhala text shall prevail. | |
