ACT To amend the South African Tourist Corporation Act, 1947.
(English text signed by the Governor-General.) (Assented to 22nd April, 1960.)
BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate and the House of Assembly of the Union of
South Mrica, as follows:-
1. Section three of the South Mrican Tourist Corporation Amendment of Act. 1947 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), is hereby ~~ 3 ro{

of the word "six"; Act 36 of 1952.. (b) by the substitution in sub-section (4) for the word
"Two" of the word "Three".
2. (I) Section nine of the principal Act is hereby amended ~dmcm:or by the insertion after paragraph (k) of the following paragraphs: =; 9,0[941 "(k)bis subject to the approval of the Minister, and, in ° ·
respect of officers of the public service, subject also to the approval of the Public Service Commission, make provision for the payment of pecuniary benefits to members of the board or to employees of the Corporation or to the dependants of such members or employees in respect of personal injury or death resulting from any accident sustained by such members or employees whilst engaged upon the performance of their duties, and may pay any premiums or contribu- tions which may be payable in terms of any contract of insurance entered into by or on behalf of such mem~ bers or employees for the payment of such pecuniary benefits;
(k)ter subject to the approval of the Minister, pay a portion not exceeding one-half of any contributions due by employees of the Corporation under any group medical aid scheme approved by the board;".
(2) Sub-section (1) shall be deemed to have come into opera· tion on the first day of December, 1957.

4. This Act shall be called the South Mrican Tourist Corpora· Short title. tion Amendment Act, 1960.
