Citation
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Central Provident Fund (Withdrawal of Cash Grants) Regulations.
Definition of cash grant
2.  In these Regulations, “cash grant” has the same meaning as in section 14(5) of the Act.
Regulations applicable to cash grants under various Schemes

—(1)  Where a cash grant under the Small Families Incentives Scheme or the Home Ownership Plus Education Scheme is paid into the Fund for the benefit of a person, that person may apply to withdraw the cash grant pursuant to the Central Provident Fund (Approved Housing Schemes) Regulations (Rg 12).

(2)  Where a cash grant under the CPF Housing Grant Scheme is paid into the Fund for the benefit of a person, that person may apply to withdraw the cash grant pursuant to the Central Provident Fund (Approved Housing Schemes) Regulations or the Central Provident Fund (Residential Properties Scheme) Regulations (Rg 6), as the case may be.
(3)  Where a cash grant under the —
(a)
Share Ownership Top-Up Scheme;
(b)
CPF Top-Up Scheme;
(c)
Senior Pensioners Grant Scheme; or
(d)
Older Pensionable Members of Parliament and Office-Holders Scheme,
is paid into the Fund for the benefit of a person, that person may apply to withdraw the cash grant pursuant to the Regulations specified in the First Schedule.
(4)  Paragraph (3)(a) shall also apply to any withdrawal made before 1st January 1996.
(5)  Where a cash grant under the Pre-Medisave Top-Up Scheme or the CPF Medisave Top-Up Scheme is paid into the Fund for the benefit of a person, that person may apply to withdraw the cash grant pursuant to the Regulations specified in the Second Schedule.
(6)  Where a cash grant under the MediShield Scheme for the Elderly is paid into the Fund for the benefit of a person, that person may apply to withdraw the cash grant pursuant to the Regulations specified in the Second Schedule.

Transfer of cash grant under Pre-Medisave Top-Up Scheme, CPF Medisave Top-Up Scheme or MediShield Scheme for the Elderly
4.  Where the cash grant under the Pre-Medisave Top-Up Scheme, CPF Medisave Top-Up Scheme or MediShield Scheme for the Elderly is transferred to the ordinary account of a person under section 13(6) of the Act, that person may apply to withdraw the cash grant pursuant to the Regulations specified in the First Schedule.
