MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 169

URGING ATTENDANCE IN THE SIXTH ANNUAL NATIONAL CONVENTION OF THE BUREAU DIRECTORS’ ASSOCIATION, INC.(BUDIRAS).

The Bureau Directors’ Association, Inc., an organization of government administrators below the rank of undersecretary dedicated to the promotion of efficiency in the administration of public affairs, will hold its 6th Annual Convention on June 5-7, 1968, at Makati, Rizal, on the theme: “INVOLVEMENT: THE KEY TO AN ERA OF CHANGE FOR NATIONAL GREATNESS IN A DEVELOPING COUNTRY.”

In view of the significance of this year’s convention theme, all chiefs of bureaus, commissions, offices, corporations, and other officials of equivalent rank, as well as all others who are members of the BUDIRAS are hereby authorized to attend the Convention on official business, i.e., with expenses for transportation, subsistence, lodging, and conference fees, chargeable against the appropriations of their respective offices, subject to the availability of funds and the usual accounting and auditing requirements.

The participants shall submit to their respective department heads a report on their attendance within fifteen days after the convention.

This accordingly amends Memorandum Circular No. 168 dated March 19, 1968, regarding this same matter.
