MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 474

REITERATING THE CIRCULAR OF THE NATIONAL COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE 1971 INDEPENDENCE DAY ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS.

In pursuance of the authority given under Executive Order No. 311 of the President of the Philippines, the National Committee on Independence Day celebrations issued a Circular enjoining all Departments, Bureaus, Offices and government-owned or controlled Corporations to participate in the forthcoming celebration of the 73rd anniversary of the independence of the Republic.

For the reasons stated in the said Circular of the National Committee on Independence Day celebration, and along lines suggested  therein, it is hereby reiterated that all Departments, Bureaus, Offices and government-owned or controlled Corporations sponsor and conduct on or before June 12 appropriate programs to commemorate the historic event.

Officials and employees attending such program shall, while in attendance, be considered on official time.
