MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 397

CREATING A COMMITTEE TO REVIEW AWARDS MADE BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUERTO PRINCESA TO APPLICANTS OVER LANDS THE PUBLIC DOMAIN CEDED TO THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PUERTO PRINCESA BY THE NATIONAL GOVERNMENT

Under Section 15 (uu) of Republic Act No. 5906, otherwise known as the City Charter of Puerto Princesa, (the City Council is granted the power to dispose by lease or otherwise all lands of the public domain ceded to the City Government of Puerto Princesa by the National Government pursuant to Section 92 of said Charter. In order to insure a fair and just determination of all awards granted fry the City Council of Puerto Princesa. Committee is hereby created to review all such awards, composed of the following:

1. Mr. Crisostomo de la Cruz

District Land Officer Land District No. IV-B, Bureau of Lands , Puerto Princesa City

Chairman

2. Mr. Felixberto Oliveros, Jr.

Mayor, Puerto Princesa City

 Member

3. Mr. Alfredo Sanchez

Assistant District Forester Palawan

Member

The Committee shall have the following functions:

1. To receive upon appeal or upon motu propio consideration, all the records pertinent to awards granted by the City Council of Puerto Princesa covering lands of the public domain ceded to the City Government by the National Government pursuant to the provisions of the City Charter; and

2. To review and evaluate all such records and, if necessary, conduct investigations to determine whether awards had been granted to the most deserving applicants.

The Committee may exercise such other powers as are necessary pursuant to its objective4s and functions.

The Committee shall submit a report of its findings and recommendations to the President from time to time.
