MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 988

AUTHORIZING ATTENDANCE IN THE THIRD NATIONAL BUSINESS CONFERENCE JOINTLY SPONSORED BY THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OF THE PHILIPPINES AND THE FEDERATION OF FILIPINO CHINESE CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE.

The Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines and the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce will jointly sponsor the Third National Business Conference to be held at the Presidential Hall of The Plaza, Makati, on June 20-23, 1977, on the theme: “More Production, More Jobs, Better Living.”

The attendance of not more than two (2) selected government officials from each government agency mentioned in the attached list is hereby authorized on official time a registration fee of not exceeding ₱200.00 per participant, chargeable against the appropriations of their respective offices, in accordance with the provisions of Presidential Decree No. 344 dated November 26, 1973, as implemented by COA General Circular No. 127, series of 1973, subject to the availability of funds and the usual accounting and auditing requirements, as an exception to Memorandum Circular No. 593 of this Office dated August 8, 1972. Participants residing or stationed within the Greater Manila Area shall be entitled to reasonable expenses for transportation and conference fees only.

Each participant shall submit to his agency head a complete report on his attendance or participation in the conference as prescribed under Memorandum Circular No. 987 dated June 10, 1977. Likewise, within the same period, the Chairman of the joint conference shall submit to this Office a report and evaluation of the conference, copy furnished the Budget Commission, including a list of participants indicating their respective positions and agencies.
