ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 121

WHEREAS, the Ad-Hoc Committee created by Administrative Order No. 94 was given a period of ninety (90) days within which to conduct its investigation relative to various administrative charges filed against certain elective officials of the Province of Albay;

WHEREAS, considering the gravity of the charges, the number of witnesses and the volume of documentary evidence to be presented and adduced by the parties, the Ad-Hoc Committee will require an additional period of time within which it can complete its investigation;

WHEREAS, under Section 62 of Republic Act No. 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991, no investigation shall be held within ninety (90) days immediately preceding any local elections; and

WHEREAS, the 90-day prohibition against investigations against local elective officials became effective on 09 May 1994 barangay elections;

NOW, THEREFORE, the Ad-Hoc Committee created by Administrative Order No. 94 is hereby granted an additional period of ninety (90) days from 09 May 1994, within which to terminate its investigation.
