PROCLAMATION NO. 1223

CREATING AND DESIGNATING A BUILDING KNOWN AS MONFORT INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY BUILDING WHICH WAS ESTABLISHED ON A PARCEL OF LAND LOCATED AT 22ND STREET, LACSON, BACOLOD CITY, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL AS AN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY CENTER PURSUANT TO REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7916 AS AMENDED BY REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8748

Pursuant to the powers vested in me under Republic Act No. 7916, otherwise known as the Special Economic Zone Act of 1995 as amended by Republic Act No. 8748 and upon recommendation of the Board of Directors of the Philippine Economic Zone Authority, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines, do hereby create and designate, as Information Technology Center subject to the provisions of Republic Act No. 7916 as amended, its Implementing Rules and Regulations, Resolution No. 00-411 dated 29 December 2000 and Resolution No. 06-123 dated 28 March 2006 of the Board of Directors of the Philippine Economic Zone Authority, the Monfort Information Technology Building which stands on a parcel of land located at 22nd Street, Lacson, Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, containing an area of SEVEN HUNDRED EIGHTY (780) SQUARE METERS, more or less, as defined by the following technical description:

A parcel of land (lot 70-B of the subdivision plan (LRC) Psd-18559, being a portion of Lot 70, Psd-12395, LRC (GLRO) Csd. Record No. 55), situated in the Barrio of Mandalangan, City of Bacolod, Island of Negros. Bounded on the SE., points 1 to 2 by Provincial Road; on the SW., points 2 to 3 by Lot 66, Psd-12395; on the NW., points 3 to 4 by Lot 70-A of the subdivision plan; and on the E., points 4 to 1 by Road. Beginning at a point marked “1” on plan, being S. 22 deg. 05’E., 1394.87 m. from BBM No. 40, Bacolod Cadastre;

thence S. 22 Deg. 08′ W., 25.00 m. to point 2;

thence N. 67 Deg. 52′ W., 31.20 m. to point 3;

thence N. 22 Deg. 08′ E., 25.00 m. to point 4;

thence S. 67 Deg. 52′ E., 31.20 m. to the point of

beginning; containing an area of Seven Hundred Eighty (780) Square Meters, more or less. All points referred to are indicated on the plan and are marked on the ground as follows: points 1 & 2 by Old PLS Cyl. Conc. Mons. 15 x 60 cms., and points 3 & 4 by PS Cyl. Conc. Mons., 15 x 60 cms., and points 3 & 4 by PS Cyl. Conc. Mons., 15 x 60 cms., bearings true; decl. 1 deg. 20’E., date of the original survey, March, 1913-June 1914 and that of the subdivision survey, executed by Roberto R. Reyes, Geodetic Engineer, on August 30, 1981.

IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed hereto.
