ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 273

TRANSFERRING THE SUPERVISION OVER AUTONOMOUS REGIONS FROM THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT TO THE DEPARTMENT OF INTERIOR AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT

WHEREAS, under Section 15, Article X of the Constitution and under the R.A. 9054, the Organic Act for the Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao, the President shall exercise general supervision over autonomous regions to ensure that laws are faithfully executed;

WHEREAS, under the Administrative Code of 1987 the President has the power to transfer any function under the Office of the President to any department or agency;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA M. ARROYO, President of the Philippines, by the powers vested in me by law, do hereby transfer the supervision over autonomous regions to the Department of Interior and Local Government.
