PROCLAMATION NO. 2079

DECLARING MONDAY, JUNE 21, 2010, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF LIPA

WHEREAS, Sunday, June 20, 2010, the City of Lipa marks the celebration of its Foundation Day anniversary;

WHEREAS, to enable the people of the City of Lipa celebrate the occasion, the Office of the Mayor requested that Monday, June 21, 2010 be declared as special non-working holiday instead of June 20, 2010, which falls on a Sunday;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Lipa be given full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, LEANDRO R. MENDOZA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Monday, June 21, 2010, as special (non-working) day in the City of Lipa.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 11th day of June, in the year of Our Lord, Two Thousand and Ten.
