BY AUTHORITY OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES

PROCLAMATION NO. 25

DECLARING 12 SEPTEMBER 2010 AS THE “NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER FOR PEACE”

WHEREAS, the National Day of Prayer for Peace and Sanctification of the Clergy will be held inLipaCity on 12 September 2010;

WHEREAS, it is anticipated that thousands of lay pilgrims and participating clergies will flock toLipaCity to join the celebrations;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the Filipino people be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, PAQUITO N. OCHOA JR., Executive Secretary, by authority of His Excellency, BENIGNO S. AQUINO III, do hereby declare 12 September 2010, as the “National Day of Prayer for Peace”.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of thePhilippines be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 1st day of September in the year of the Our Lord, Two Thousand and Ten.
