PROCLAMATION NO. 46

DECLARING THURSDAY, OCTOBER 28, 2010, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF DINGLE, PROVINCE OF ILOILO

WHEREAS, the First Battle Cry of Revolution against Spain in the Province of Iloilo and Panay known as the “Cry of Lincud” happened on October 28, 1898 in the Municipality of Dingle, Province of Iloilo;

WHEREAS, to commemorate this historical event, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Dingle, Province of Iloilo be given full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, PAQUITO N. OCHOA, JR., Executive Secretary, by authority of His Excellency, BENIGNO S. AQUINO III, do hereby declare Thursday, October 28, 2010, as special (non-working) day in the Municipality of Dingle, Province of Iloilo.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
