PROCLAMATION NO. 47
DECLARING THE PERIOD OF OCTOBER 4 TO 8, 2010 AS âPRODUCTION AND OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT WEEKâ
WHEREAS, the Production and Operations Management Association of the Philippines (PROMAP), a non-partisan and non-stock organization, was established to promote industrial development through better and more efficient management of the systems;
WHEREAS, PROMAP will be holding its 23rd National Convention on October 7 and 8, 2010 at the Holiday Inn Galleria Hotel;
WHEREAS, there is a need to focus national attention on the important role production and operations practitioners play in the development of the economy as well as in the manufacturing sector.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, BENIGNO S. AQUINO III, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period of October 4 to 8, 2010 as âProduction and Operations Management Weekâ, under the auspices of the Production and Operations Management Association of the Philippines.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
