PROCLAMATION NO. 79

DECLARING FRIDAY, DECEMBER 3, 2010, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF MLANG, PROVINCE OF COTABATO

WHEREAS, Friday, December 3, 2010, marks the 58th Thanksgiving Day dubbed as the “Kawayan Festival” of the Municipality of Mlang, Province of Cotabato;

WHEREAS, Kawayanan Festival derives its name from the abundance of bamboo in the municipality;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Mlang, Province of Cotabato be given full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, PAQUITO N. OCHOA JR, Executive Secretary, by authority of His Excellency, BENIGNO S. AQUINO III, do hereby declare Friday, December 3, 2010, as special (non-working) day in the Municipality of Mlang, Province of Cotabato.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
