PROCLAMATION NO. 990
DECLARING MONDAY, 27 APRIL 2015, AS A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF LAPU-LAPU
WHEREAS, Monday, 27 April 2015, marks the celebration of the Kadaugan sa Mactan, a cultural and historical event in the City of Lapu-Lapu;
WHEREAS, the Battle of Mactan is among the significant events in Philippine history and serves as testimony to the rich cultural and historical heritage of the Filipinos; and
WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Lapu-Lapu be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, PAQUITO N. OCHOA JR., Executive Secretary, by authority of His Excellency, BENIGNO S. AQUINO III, do hereby declare Monday, 27 April 2015, as a special (non-working) day in the City of Lapu-Lapu.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
