AN ACT
to amend section 2 of the Statutory Time et cetera Act, 1883.
1 [Statutory Time et cetera Act 1883, s. 2 amended]
[Amends section 2 of the Statutory Time et cetera Act, 1883 ‘(which provides
that whenever in any Act of Tynwald or in any instrument anything is
appointed to be done at the Court ordinarily held yearly on the fifth day of July,
such day shall be deemed to mean the sixth day of July whenever the fifth day
of July falls on Sunday)’.]
2 Short title and construction
This Act may be cited as the Statutory Time Act, 1948, and shall be construed as
one with the Statutory Time et cetera Act, 1883, and such Act and this Act may
be together cited as the Statutory Time Acts, 1883 and 1948.
3 Commencement
This Act shall come into operation when the Royal Assent thereto has been by
the Governor announced to Tynwald and a certificate thereof has been signed
by the Governor and the Speaker of the House of Keys.
