The Government, on the request of the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2 of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) (No. 2) Act 1977 (No. 28 of 1977), hereby order as follows:

1.        This Order may be cited as the Marine (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order 2006.

2.        The powers and duties of the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources conferred on him-
(a)        by or under the Acts specified in Part 1,
(b)        by or under the provisions of the Acts specified in column (3) opposite mention of the Act concerned in column (2), of Part 2 and
(c)        under the Regulations specified in Part 3,
of the Schedule to this Order, are delegated to John Browne, Minister of State at the Department of Communications, Marine and Natural Resources.
