Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in
“Iris Oifigiúil” of 15th October, 2010.
I, NOEL DEMPSEY, Minister for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 38 of the Local Government Act 1955 (No. 9 of 1955) and the Roads and Road Vehicles (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order 2007 ( S.I. No. 815 of 2007 ), hereby order as follows:
1. This Order may be cited as the Mechanically Propelled Vehicles (International Circulation) (Amendment) Order 2010.
2. Article 11 (inserted by the Mechanically Propelled Vehicles (International Circulation) (Amendment) Order 1998 ( S.I. No. 111 of 1998 )) of the Mechanically Propelled Vehicles (International Circulation) Order 1992 ( S.I. No. 384 of 1992 ) is amended by substituting “a fee of €10” for “a fee of four pounds (£4)”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.
(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation).
This Order revises the fee which can be charged by the Automobile Association and by RAC Motoring Services (Ireland) for the issue of an international driving permit from four pounds to ten euro.
